If you handle internal communication for frontline teams, you know the feeling. You want to keep your people engaged, show appreciation and share something lighter now and then, but coming up with fresh content every time can be a challenge.
This employee engagement calendar helps with that. It shares fixed moments to build around, so you don't have to start from scratch each time you want to share something.
Please note: this is the international version of our calendar. If you're based in the Netherlands or your teams are Dutch-speaking, we also have a version with Dutch engagement days and weeks.
Frontline employees aren't sitting behind a screen all day. They're in the store, behind the bar, or out on the road. That's exactly why short, recognisable moments work so well. An awareness day gives a low-effort reason to share something, thank a colleague or simply connect.
The nice part is you don't need much. A question, a photo prompt or a simple thank-you message is often enough to spark a response and make your team feel appreciated. And the more you invite people to take part, the livelier your internal communication becomes.

Use this calendar as inspiration for your internal communication throughout the year. Pick the moments that fit your organisation, your culture and the teams you want to highlight. You do not need to post about every day. A few well-chosen moments can already help you create more recognition, interaction and connection across your frontline workforce.

You don't have to use every moment on this calendar, of course. Pick the days that fit your sector and your team, and build a rhythm that works. A few good awareness moments per quarter is enough to keep your internal communication lively and to give your people the sense that they're seen.
The most important thing is that it stays genuine. A thank-you only lands when it's specific, and an activity only works when people can easily take part.
Keep it simple, keep it human, and share it where your teams already look, whether that's your own internal communication platform or Oneteam.
Good luck!
